Jean-Louis
This began as quick portrait in charcoal, again no time to finish it, and I have been playing with water soluble oil pastels. In this one, I didn’t use too much water, because in some of my earlier experiments the (cartridge) paper started falling apart. Actually I don’t mind this, it all adds to the distressed look of the paper.
This was done on some purplish coloured Canson paper, which is pretty tough. He has a great face, and he must have been sleepy because he had his eyes closed the whole time.
